Embraer SA reported an adjusted net loss of 93.8 million reais in the third quarter of this year, narrowing from the 179.7 million-real loss seen a year ago, a retraction of 47.8%.

Embraer S.A. (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica) is a Brazilian aerospace syndicate that produces commercial, military, and executive aircraft and gives aeronautical services. The company is the third biggest producer of civil aircraft, after Boeing and Airbus. 

In the 3rd quarter of this year, Embraer presented a net loss of R$ 160.4 million associated with shareholders, 31.5% lower than R$ 234.2 million a year earlier according to the balance sheet sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) recently.

Ebitda (profit before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) fell 25%, to R$ 282.1 million in the third quarter, described in relation to R$ 30.7 million in the same interval last year. With this, the Ebitda margin was 5.8% in the period, in comparison to 7.6% a year earlier. 

In the adjusted standard, Ebitda was R$ 485.4 million in the 3rd quarter of this year, which is 18% higher than R$ 410.7 million in the same interval last year. With this, the adjusted Ebitda margin was 10% in the third quarter, pertaining to 8.2% last year.

The consolidated net revenue of the Brazilian company in the third quarter of this year was R$ 4.8 billion, a reduction of 3% compared to the previous year. 

Other financial and delivery forecasts for the rest of the year were kept unchanged. It was also forecasted that the supply chain difficulties are likely to continue in the first half of 2023 and return to normal by 2024.
