International Free Zone Authority (IFZA) Dubai, the UAE’s most dynamic and truly global Free Zone, announced its alliance with the Heilbronn University Graduate School (HUGS), a higher business education institution in Germany.

Registered with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the IFZA Academy is the first and only training academy of its kind within and beyond the Free Zone industry.
In 2021, the UAE government illustrated the UAE Centennial Plan 2071, which is based on the pillars of future-focused government, exceptional education, an assorted knowledge economy, and a happy and cohesive society.
The IFZA contributes to this Plan’s educational objectives, mainly in entrepreneurship education through the IFZA Academy, the area’s first government-accredited learning institution for the Free Zone sector.
Generally, the purpose of IFZA through this Academy is to assist the clients on their path to business success and to consistently develop talent and facilitate a sustainable and future-ready workforce.
Heilbronn University Graduate School
Over the last couple of decades, Heilbronn University has become a leader in technology-driven fundamental and applied research and has solidified its own Institute of Applied Research. Its various range of study programs in Business Studies, Engineering, and Information Technology give a sound theoretical grounding while combining vocational elements such as industrial placements or project work.
The Collaboration
IFZA Dubai, declared its partnership with the Heilbronn University Graduate School (HUGS), with the purpose of providing the IFZA Community with curated tools to improve their capabilities and inspire innovation.

- Together with HUGS, IFZA Academy will provide a wide range of sessions and workshops proposing the most essential knowledge and skills required to empower IFZA Partners to confidently make important business decisions.
- As part of IFZA Academy for Training, the partnership will provide IFZA Licensees and Professional Partners with globally recognized business courses to improve their skills and develop their knowledge.
- The primary offering is an in-depth training course on financial management taught by Prof. Dr. Bettina Merlin, Master Entrepreneurship Program Director of HUGS, and Prof. Ralf Dillerup, Head of HUGS.
To consistently develop talent and facilitate a sustainable and future-ready workforce, IFZA Academy has proudly provided over 7,000 sessions to Professional Partners, amounting to 15,000 hours of training for thousands of partakers over the first 8 months of this year.
